Ingredients

  • 1 tsp dried butterfly pea flowers (or 1 herbal tea bag)

  • 1 cup hot water (not boiling)

  • Juice of ½ lemon

  • 1 tbsp honey, agave, or maple syrup (optional, to taste)

  • Ice cubes

  • Optional: fresh mint, lemon slices, or a splash of fruit juice for variation


Instructions

  • In a heat-safe cup or jar, steep the butterfly pea flowers in hot water for 5–7 minutes until the liquid turns a rich blue.

  • Strain out the flowers and let the tea cool slightly.

  • Add sweetener if desired and stir to dissolve.
